Thank you for your interest in Chipinaw. We hire both general and specialty counselors at Chipinaw. General counselors spend their day with a group of campers, guiding, supporting, and supervising their summer. As a specialist you do not need to have skills in several areas. We are looking for strong background within a given area. When filling out the application, give careful thought to each area and only indicate those areas that you would be comfortable teaching. We are also in search of adults that are looking for leadership positions such as group leaders, department heads and Registered Nurses.

Nearly all of our counselors live the cabins with the campers and have duties and responsibilities supervising a group of approximately 6 to 10 campers. We consider this to be an integral aspect of the counselor position. The friendships and experiences in the cabin have a strong impact on the success of a child's summer. The ability to relate to children is a prerequisite for working at Chipinaw.
