At Chipinaw, campers and
counselors live in wooden cabins, sleeping in cozy wooden beds and bunk
beds. Each cabin has electricity and water and features recently refurbished
modern bathrooms and showers. Our youngest campers live in our Midget
Houses, which are special cabins that combine four bunks under one roof
to enhance cooperative learning and peer relationships.
Our main buildings include dining halls, theaters, canteens and a stable,
a selection of arts and crafts studios, air-conditioned computer labs,
indoor gymnasiums, a weight room, dance studios and two fully equipped
infirmaries. There are also specifically designed areas for mountain biking
and boarding and our fitness and nature programs. |

Other facilities include
tennis courts, both indoor and outdoor basketball courts, roller hockey
rinks, a skate park, soccer, softball and baseball fields - all of which
have lights for night time activity. Away from sports, Chipinaw has a
challenge ropes course with a four sided 34-foot climbing wall and zip
line and a spectacular circus program with a professional flying trapeze.
Our waterfronts consist of a heated and lighted swimming pool on each
campus as well as a 96-acre private lake with sailboats, row boats, peddle
boats, surf bikes, diving boards and towers, a 100-foot slide into the
lake and a floating trampoline and inflatable iceberg! We also have three
separate docks where our motor boats pick up those that want to ski, wakeboard
or tube..
Although most of our counselors live in the cabins with our campers, we
do have some private accommodations for our older staff and our staff
lounge is complete with internet access, telephones and satellite TV. |
