I hope you've been finding all the information you need in this website about Chipinaw - I look forward to meeting all new campers in person! But first, let me tell you about myself and my background: I've been involved in camping since I was seven years old, and I've never looked back! When I was a camper, I eagerly became involved in all areas of camp life, from sports and water activities to theater and crafts. I would always count down the days until the next summer - my favorite time of the year. When it was time to go to college, I knew that my studies would have to focus on this passion. So, I went to Ithaca College and got my degree in Recreation Management and Business Administration - a degree that would complement my love for camp and allow me to take it to the next level. Now, I have made my passion my career with Chipinaw. As a director, I handle everything from overseeing the hiring of the staff to talking with all the parents. And, most importantly, I get to ensure that the campers have the best summer possible!

I can't wait to meet all the new campers and answer any questions parents may have. I'm very excited about this summer at camp, as we've been making improvements, adding new programs and getting all set for what is sure to be a great summer! During the year, I work as an elementary school teacher in Coral Springs, Florida. But I really love when this time of year rolls around. I've been in camping for more than two decades, and I haven't missed a summer yet! From being a camper to a counselor to a group leader and then to a head counselor, as well as being the director of summer studies, I've been preparing all along to become a camp director. Chipinaw is a wonderful environment, and I feel lucky to be a part of it all. Every summer all my energy is focused on getting to all the great campers, devoting my time to ensuring that they are properly cared for and most importantly, are safe and happy. I hope you, too, will become a part of the Chipinaw family. I look forward to meeting you!

BoysOur programs at Chipinaw can only be as good as the people that lead them. That is why we pride ourselves on our wonderful staff of talented counselors, chosen from applicants all over the world. We look for energetic and responsible individuals who are ready for a summer full of laughter, friendships and fun. With a staff/camper ratio of approximately 1:3, our staff gets to know the campers well. In addition many of our counselors continue to return year after year, as they have become attached to the Chipinaw family. From Professional teachers and educators to college students to former Chipinaw campers, our loyal staff is a made up of a diverse group of people who all bring something uniquely wonderful to the camp.
